Do you have a MySchool card? Well then, I suggest that you whip it out right this very second and vote for your favourite MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet charity and they’ll donate R10 to them on your behalf. Every vote secures a R5 donation for the organisation of your choice and if you also share your vote via social media you can double the value of your vote and get another them another R5.
How can I vote?
Just go to www.myschool.co.za/
What’s up for grabs for my chosen charity?
All those R10s can add up quickly and Vote4Charity has pledged to donate up to R1 million in this campaign. As a finale to the challenge, they will also support each of the three charities with the most votes by funding the R25 000 production of a professional promotional video. Five lucky voters will also each win a R5000 Woolies gift card.
“Vote4Charity is yet another way that the programme is empowering South Africans to make a direct impact for the causes and communities they care about most,” says Helene Brand, MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet’s CSI Manager. “The best part is that is doesn’t cost them a cent, and they get to choose who they want to support. We believe that innovative campaigns such as this help to bring our customers closer to the organisations that are working tirelessly for a better South Africa.”
Who should I vote for?
I’m so glad you asked! My mission is to rally the troops to vote for Arise Cape Town. They believe that every child is created to be a part of a loving, secure, thriving family. Arise supports adoptive and foster families and advocates for permanent families for all children. They also provide world-class group and individual therapy, outreach, and educational support through local community organisations to strengthen families in the Heideveld area.
Arise has been such a support to us on our adoption journey and are doing really important work in adoption education and advocacy. They host termly Adoption Support Workshops and an annual Adoption Conference in both Cape Town and Gauteng. (Keep an eye on their Facebook page because the next conference in Cape Town is set for Sat 15 Sept & Gauteng is booked for Sat 6 Oct)
You can join the Arise Family by voting today and if you want to take it one step further then a little bird told me that they’re looking for some new monthly donors. It’s possible to create a big impact for a small amount each month.
Here’s a short promo video about Arise and some pics of the important work that they do:
Need anymore encouragement? Vote now for the charity that matters most to you (or the charity that matters most to me which is Arise!).
