A Morning in Roeland Street with Grand Little Adventure

I was pretty convinced that there wouldn’t be a single decent smiling photo from our recent family shoot with Tabs from Grand Little Adventure, but I was so wrong! Our Kira can be four seasons in ten minutes and her chaotic behaviour properly threw out our family dynamics and set the boys off. The morning could have been a disaster, but Tabs was so relaxed and calm that she just subtly snapped away in the background and managed to capture some beautiful moments in the midst of a busy morning with young kids. New Features on Netflix + WIN a 6 Month Subscription

We’re a Netflix family – we signed up soon after a stormy night messed up the aerial connection to our Multichoice dish and required us to book a service guy to come out to see what was what. Let’s just say that the aerial remains unserviced and we’re very happy with our fuss-free Netflix subscription. After a one month trial we managed to persuade the family to share a family contract with us (it wasn’t too hard!) that can host up to four users plus a kids profile. We’ve found Netflix to be not only a cheaper option for us but also we are now firm believers that TV on demand is the way to go.Continue Reading

A Pirate Party For Judah’s 4th Birthday

And just like that we have another 4 year old in the house! We celebrated Judah’s 4th birthday with a pirate party based on one of his favourite books, ‘Pirates Love Underpants’. We kept it simple by inviting five friends from school (plus a few siblings), doing a quick obstacle course and treasure hunt in the sandpit, having some soft play fun and making party packs that were the kids’ snacks for the morning. Continue Reading
